What I Offer
Pilates:
I tailor Pilates-based movement to make bodies stronger and more functional using my 10+ years of experience in teaching strength based Pilates protocols. Whether you have a reformer at home, or just a mat, we work together to address the whole person so your movement and health goals are a meaningful experience that go far beyond a string of exercises. Due to the customizable nature of our
sessions, it is ideal for athletes, those with chronic illness, and every body in between.
Sessions are available via zoom, in-studio, or in-home.
MELT Method:
A gentle self-care technique using MELT Method tools and protocols with the goal of decreasing and preventing chronic pain. Science has shown it to improve mobility, performance, and stability when used a few times a week, making it an ideal technique to support most movement goals. While MELT Method requires the use of specific props, such as a hand/foot ball kit and a foam roller, it is NOT your traditional foam rolling routine. The soft nature of the MELT foam roller combined with targeted MELT techniques allow it to go much deeper to gently rehydrate connective tissue. We never want to cause pain to get out of pain.
Note: For those with chronic illness, we start with 10-minute MELT sessions
only.
Sessions are available via zoom, in-studio, or in-home
Nutrition:
We will work together to address the underlying causes of your health concerns and discuss your nutritional goals. Often times, especially in the case of chronic illness, movement alone may not create lasting effects in symptoms such as pain relief, especially when dealing with deeper neurological issues. When we couple movement with shifting the foods with which we are nourishing our bodies, we can take our fitness and/or healing journey to the next level. Please note: I am certified in Clinical Nutrition, though my approach is heavily influenced by Anthony William’s protocols as I believe it to be the missing link in recovering from chronic illness and other mystery symptoms.
Sessions are available via zoom and/or can be combined into an extended movement session.
